If there’s time you don’t want to bill for, it’s quick and easy to delete unwanted Activities and Entries.

Sometimes, Time by Ping (TBP) may capture time you don’t want to bill for and so want to delete from your Timeline. If this is the case, or if there are Entries in your Timesheet you want to remove, TBP lets you delete them – just be absolutely sure you don’t want them first!

How do I delete an Unassigned Activity in my Timeline?

When you delete an Unassigned Activity from your Timeline you can’t recover it, so it’s important to be certain before you do.

Once you’re sure, just click the Icon.png on the right-hand side of the relevant Unassigned Activity bar and you’ll see a ‘Successfully deleted’ notification in the Global Navigation Bar. And that’s it – gone forever.

How do I delete an Assigned Activity or Entry?

As above, when you delete an Assigned Activity or Entry from your Timeline or Timesheet you can’t recover it, so it’s important to be certain before you do.

If TBP has automatically assigned a Client / Matter to an Activity, it’s because our data tells us it’s work you’re likely to bill for. For this reason, we’ve added an extra step to delete Assigned Activities and Entries:

  1. Click on the Assigned Activity in your Timeline or Entry in your Timesheet you want to remove and the Client / Matter box will display on the right-hand side of your TBP window
  2. In it, click Icon.png
  3. Because we want to make sure the delete action is intended, we show a delete confirmation box that informs you of the number of Activities / Entries you are about to delete along with their duration
  4. If you want to confirm the delete action, click Delete and the Activities / Entries will be gone forever
