A quick way to find exactly what you’re looking for in your Timeline or Timesheet.
We’ve made it simple to search your Timeline and Timesheet for Entries and Activities using a range of search options. Just type and click – it’s as easy as that.
Where can I find the Search Bar?
You can find the Search Bar in your Global Header at the top of your TBP window, always visible in both your Timeline and Timesheet views.
How does the Search Bar work?
Your Search Bar is a simple, fast way to find captured and added Activities and Entries in both your Timeline and Timesheet. It works by showing exact matches when you search for a:
- Client / Matter name or nickname
- Client / Matter number
- Client name
- Narrative
- Activity detail – document titles and types, email addresses and contact names
To search your Timeline:
-
Click in the Search Bar and start typing the word you’re looking for. Exact matches will remain in your Timeline and Activities that don’t match your search exactly will collapse into what we call ‘buckets’. Buckets group together consecutive Clients / Matters and consecutive Unassigned Activities but still show the Client / Matter name or nickname where applicable, the number of Activities in that bucket and the total time for all of them. This helps you place your search results in the context of your day more easily.
-
To clear the Search Bar you can either:
- Delete the word in the Search Bar
- Click on any bucket
To search your Timesheet:
-
Click in the Search Bar and start typing the word you’re looking for. Exact matches will remain in your Timesheet and Entries that don’t match your search exactly will disappear from view.
-
To clear the Search Bar you can:
- Delete the word in the Search Bar
