Here are the technology and applications you’ll need to make the most of Time by Ping.

Timekeeping shouldn’t be as laborious as it is. A time-consuming manual task that no one enjoys and most put off until the last minute, it’s overdue a rethink. That’s why we created Time by Ping, or TBP for short.

TBP automates timekeeping. It works silently in the background, capturing your activity across a range of applications, systems, websites and devices, and then adds them chronologically to your Timeline. For TBP to work perfectly, your system needs to meet certain requirements, listed below.

User Workstation Setup

User Operating Systems & Environments

TBP is a desktop application installed locally on a timekeeper’s computer.

  • REQUIRED: Microsoft Windows 10, 11, Windows Server 2012 or later
  • REQUIRED: .Net Framework 4.7.2+
  • Apple iOS 13+
    • Note: MacOS supported with the TBP desktop application when running a on a virtual windows environment
  • Citrix with desktop streaming

User Hardware Minimum Requirements

  • CPU: Multi-Core x86 Processor
  • Memory: 8GB+ RAM
  • Storage: 100GB+ HDD (SSD preferred)
  • Resolution: 1280x1024 or higher

User Productivity Applications for Tracking

Activity in the following applications can be captured by TBP when installed and used locally on the desktop. Online versions can be captured using Browser & URL, but may not work in certain configurations.

TBP can help capture your online research for whitelisted URLs from your browser to capture more of your activity for timekeeping and billing purposes.

User Communications Systems & Applications

TBP can help capture phone calls by integrating with your telecommunications vendors to automatically capture phone calls and participants for timekeeping and billing purposes.

    • 12+, on Prem only (cloud version not supported)
  • Microsoft Teams
    • Requires setup and access to MSFT services

Firm-level System Support

Document Management Systems

TBP integrates with select DMS providers for categorizing activity. This is not required for TBP to function, but enhances and streamlines the timekeeper experience. Support includes:

  • iManage Work 10
    • Premium and cloud versions of iManage Work
      ( not currently supported)

    • 32 or 64 bit

    • Support for iManage 10 is provided by an additional TBP installer and does not require an iManage 10 client to be available. TBP has the ability to communicate with remote iManage 10, either directly or indirectly via locally installed TBP components.

Practice Management Systems

TBP integrates with select practice management systems to effectively and securely exchange master billing and timekeeping data. Note: We also offer support with Billing Connect, allowing your firm to use TBP without a direct PMS integration.
